Every board gives you a line to check against, so we took our time getting the bracket dead level and setting the TV high enough to clear the mantel without leaving it floating too far above it. We also kept the wires behind the screen so the finished mount could sit clean on the wall. On a dark surface like this, the fit around the TV stands out in a good way.
